Job Description

  • Monitoring and analysing media coverage to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities for the company
  • Track and report on key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies
  • Supporting Corporate Comms activities, such as drafting LinkedIn content for corporate and employer branding, keeping corporate touchpoints updated
  • Drafting and distributing press releases, media alerts, and other communication materials to targeted media outlets
  • Providing support for special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) program in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
  • Previous internship or project experience in corporate communications or public relations is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong verbal and written skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in all communication materials
  • Ability to track and report on key performance indicators
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently across differing urgency and deadlines
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, LinkedIn and Slack
  • Ability to work independently in hybrid/remote settings with a regional team
